Join us for our first author event, featuring Bill and Phyllis Lightle. Bill Lightle, a former reporter and author of the John Maynard and Abby Sinclair novels, bases his novels on his experiences as a news reporter and has just released his newest mystery in this series, Monkey Place, set in Albany, GA. In addition to fiction, Bill Lightle has published non-fiction works on the football culture of the deep South. Phyllis Lightle, who has written for newspapers, magazines, and journals, has just released her volume of poetry, Chasing Hemingway, which explores growing up in the South, where she speaks eloquently and lightly to the virtues and vices that impact deep Southern culture.
We are excited to hear Bill and Phyllis Lightle give a reading from their newest works at 2:00 P.M., at Warm Springs Cellars, followed by an author signing.
Enjoy talking about books while sipping your favorite beverage and nibbling one of our tasty cheese plates or chocolate bars.
